I was inspired by my father-in-law’s little blue sailboat and watching him sail it across Starvation Reservoir. I wanted the quilt to feel bright and happy, so I played with oranges, blues, and yellows that remind me of sunlight on the water. The Sailboat Throw Quilt is 50″ × 68″ and makes a fun addition to any room.
Designing for My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe is such a unique and fun experience. I get to be involved every step of the way; from the initial idea, to selecting fabrics for kits, to creating diagrams, and designing the sewing pattern to align with brand identity.
